On Jan. 13, 2026, the Philadelphia Eagles let go of their offensive coordinator, 44-year-old Kevin Patullo. He is the fourth offensive coordinator they’ve removed since 2020. This comes after their postseason loss against the San Francisco 49ers, 19-23, on Jan. 11.
Head coach Nick Sirianni stated, “I have decided to make a change at offensive coordinator. I met with Kevin today to discuss the difficult decision, as he is a great coach who has my utmost respect. He has been integral to this team’s success over the last five years, not only to the on-field product but behind the scenes as a valued leader for our players and organization. I have no doubt he will continue to have a successful coaching career. Ultimately, when we fall short of our goals that responsibility lies on my shoulders.”
Patullo worked with Sirianni on the Indianapolis Colts’ coaching staff from 2018 to 2020 and joined him when he was hired as head coach for Philadelphia in 2021. He was promoted in the previous offseason from pass game coordinator to offensive coordinator to replace Kellen Moore, the team’s most successful offensive coordinator and current head coach of the New Orleans Saints.
The Eagles finished the 2025 season with a record of 11-6 and the title of NFC East champions. However, their offensive scoring dropped from 7th in the league to 19th, with offensive efficiency going from 4th place to 19th, and rushing attack going from 2nd to 18th. Despite the team having players like Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts, who are ranked highly on NFL’s Top 100 Players of 2025 list, offensive injuries and a lack of effectiveness in their operation dragged the team down, ultimately leading to Sirianni’s decision.
Patullo has now been hired as pass game coordinator for head coach Jeff Hafley of the Miami Dolphins.
