Cherokee Football Gets Tickled Pink

Friday, October 4, 2019, was a disappointing loss for the Cherokee Chiefs. For much of the game, the Chiefs were tied with Millville. However, the boys just could not pull off a win and Milville defeated the Chiefs 26-14. This loss was the second of the season, following a disappointing loss to rival school, Shawnee.

The cold temperatures did not hold the Chiefs back from turning out and the student section made sure to have its voice heard. Friday’s game was deemed a “Pink Out” to support Breast Cancer Awareness. The stands were packed in pink and the students seemed to be excited no matter what the score. Hopefully, with three more games left in the regular season, the Cherokee Chiefs will be able to walk away with a few more wins.
