It’s PB&J Time!
Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are an all-American lunchroom staple. They’re easy to make and delicious to eat, but what would you do if you didn’t have any food to eat, not even a simple PB&J?
The PB&J Club aims to help the 13% of American households who don’t get enough to eat everyday. Members of this club make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and decorative placemats once a month to bring to the Cathedral Kitchen in Camden. Cathedral Kitchen is a non-profit organization, established in 1976, that feeds the homeless of Philadelphia three times a day. Students in this club get to have fun preparing the sandwiches and designing the placemats, but they also are rewarded with the satisfaction of having helped feed one of the many people in the U.S. who go hungry.
If you’re interested in joining the club or have any questions, you can email Mrs. Connolly at [email protected], or stop by the South Counseling Center for more information.
