Once Upon A Time
On July 9, when all the stars aligned, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce ended up in the same room, at the same time. Kelce attended Swift’s “Eras Tour” at Arrowhead Stadium. On his podcast, “New Heights,” Kelce talked about how he made a friendship bracelet with his number to give to Swift. This caught the performer’s attention, and she quickly reached out to him.
According to Kelce, “I met her in New York, we had already kind of been talking, so I knew we could have a nice dinner and, like, a conversation, and what goes from there will go from there.” Thus began the enchanting journey between the pair.
Chiefs vs. Patriots
The couple was first seen in public on Sept. 24 at the Chiefs game. Kelce invited Swift to come to see him “rock the stage at Arrowhead.” Swift’s presence set the stadium ablaze and enamored fans watched her from the stands. The singer-songwriter was seen cheering Kelce on from a suite filled with his close friends and family and celebrating his plays alongside his mother, Donna Kelce. The two were spotted leaving the game together and renting out a restaurant to celebrate the Chiefs’ win. This event sparked the rumors of a possible relationship between the two.
On Top of the World
When asked questions about Swift at a press conference on Oct. 6, Kelce gushed about the songwriter.
“As all the attention comes … it feels like I was on top of the world after the Super Bowl and right now I’m even more on top of the world.”
He notes that he’s “learning” to handle the newfound attention placed on him, saying he’s “just got to keep living and learning and enjoying the moments,” continuing to focus on his career relationships and embrace the new level of fame in his life.
“Karma Is the Guy on the Chiefs”
Taylor Swift was Time magazine’s Person of the Year of 2023. In her interview with Time she discusses the specifics of her relationship with Travis. Revealing that they were already an official couple before she attended that first Chiefs game, “we had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple.”
She also goes into detail about how devoted they are to supporting one another.
“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care.”
Swift’s words are proven when the tight end showed up to her concert on “The Eras Tour” in Argentina, her first show since they became an official couple. Kelce is seen singing along, specifically when Swift changes the lyrics in one of her songs, “Karma” to “karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me.”
Call It What You Want
The couple doesn’t let the public eye dim the light of their love; they continue to support each other on and off screen. One thing is for sure, everyone cannot wait to hear more about their love story, whether it’s in a stadium, on a podcast, or in the lyrics to a song.
