30 for 30
Calling all Adele fans! Adele’s new album, “30,” is now streaming on all platforms. Released on Nov. 19, 2021, many of its songs went to the top of the charts.
Each song sounds more fierce and formidable than the last as she expresses her feelings about what she’s going through. The album consists of jazz, soul, and pop. “Strangers By Nature,” “My Little Love,” “Woman Like Me,” and “Hold On” are only a few of the insightful titles she gives her many songs on this album. Possible themes revolve around the ideas of hope, acceptance, grief, and motherhood.
She revealed a glimpse of what the album entails when she released the single “Easy On Me” on Oct. 15, 2021. Its meaning is heavy and will bring tears to your eyes as she talks about her childhood and divorcing her now ex-husband, Simon Konecki. In the new album, she also expresses her feelings about her son handling the divorce at only age nine. Overall, this is one of her most personal albums throughout her whole career.
The wait is finally over! The melody, lyrics, and meaning all tie together beautifully to create a meaningful and emotional work of art. “30″isn’t the happiest album in the world, but in the words of Adele, “I don’t think sadness is always devastating. It can be quite uplifting and joyful as well. Sometimes you have to allow yourself to be sad in order to move forward.”
