Emily Paluba, Advice to a Freshman

“Take classes you enjoy. High school goes by in the blink of an eye, so make sure you try to find joy in every moment. I found the balance between challenging myself and crafting my schedule in a way that compliments my interests and the type of student I am. Life is too short to spend even just four years wanting to pull your hair out. Don’t let the pressure get to you–to take all AP classes or get perfect scores or be in a billion clubs. Do what you love, and have the strength to resist those who may encourage you to do otherwise.” -Emily Paluba
